SELECTMEN'S MEETING <br />February 8, 1983 <br />I <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was: held in the Select - <br />men's Meeting Room, Town Office Building, on Tuesday, February 8, 1983 <br />at 7:30 P.M. Acting Chairman Crain, Mrs. Battin, Mr. Politi, Mr. Sacco; <br />Mr. Hutchinson, Town Manager; Mr. Cohen, Town Counsel; Miss Adler, Assist- <br />ant to the Town Manager; Miss Casey, Executive Clerk were present. <br />The Chairman convened the meeting at 7:30 P.M. and requested the <br />indulgence of the Selectmen /Town Manager Act Committee to wait for Town <br />Counsel as he had been detained. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the minu- Minutes <br />tes of the Selectmen's Meeting of January 5, 19830 <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to sign the war- <br />rant for the 1983 Annual.Town Meeting. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to authorize the <br />Town Manager to execute the grant previously approved, for <br />technical energy audits. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the <br />request for a transfer in the amount of .$l0 , 000 from the Reserve Fund <br />to Fire and Police Medical Account #1125. <br />The Selectmen /Town Manager Act Committee met with the Board to pre- <br />sent its report. <br />Mr. Dan Fenn, for Mr. Homer Hagedorn, Chairman of the <br />Committee who was unable to attend reviewed the rationale of the Com- <br />mittee relative to recommended changes in the Act. <br />He stated 'that the Committee has concluded that the Act, in general, <br />is working acceptably well. The additions or revisions suggested are in- <br />tended to facilitate better realization of the principles behind the Act <br />not fundamentally to change them ". <br />The Board discussed the recommendations briefly and Mr. Crain stated <br />that he assumed that the Board would rather wait for a full Board for <br />consideration of specific points of view on the matter, <br />He thanked the committee for its presentation and the opportunity <br />for further dialogue and clarification. <br />Upon motion duly made and 'Seconded, it was voted to table the con- <br />sideration of the Selectmen /Town Manager Act Committee's report until <br />there is a full Board present. <br />1983 Warr- <br />ant <br />Grant App. <br />Energy <br />Transfer <br />Selectmen/ <br />Tn. Mgr. <br />Act Com. <br />The Manager informed the Board that questions had been raised at the Muzzey <br />Planning Board hearing relative to the construct of the motion for Muz- School <br />zey School. The questions were whether or not to include the Senior Motion <br />Center and consider it as a whole or make an amendment to delete the Cen- <br />
