a <br />•� r <br />SELECTMEN'S MEETING <br />May 6, 1991 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on <br />Monday, May 6, 1991, in the Selectmen's Meeting Room, Town office <br />Building, at 7:30 p.m. Chairman Smith, Mr. Marshall, Mr. <br />Eddison, Mr. Dailey, Mr. McSweeney; Mr. white, Town Manager; Ms. <br />Radway, Asst. Town Manager and Mrs, Snow, Executive Clerk, were <br />present. <br />PUBLIC HEARING EDISON WOOD STREET <br />Mrs. Smith opened a Public Hearing on the petition of Boston <br />Edison Company for permission to install conduit in wood Street. <br />Edward Chisholm, representing the Edison Company, explained <br />that the work was necessary to provide underground service to <br />X114 wood Street. <br />Mrs. Smith read the recommendation for approval by the <br />Director of Public works. Since there were no further comments <br />or questions, the hearing was declared closed. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve <br />the petition, plan and orders of Boston Edison Company for a <br />grant of location for approximately twenty feet of conduit in <br />Wood Street, westerly approximately 92 feet west of Holton <br />Street, a distance of about 23 feet. <br />PUBLIC HEARING EDISON OLD SPRING STREET <br />Mrs. Smith opened a Public Hearing on the petition of the <br />Boston Edison Company f or permission to install a pole top <br />connection and approximately 3 feet of conduit in Old Spring Ste <br />Mr. Chisholm explained that the work was necessary to <br />provide service to the Chinese Bible Church, 149 Spring Street. <br />Mrs. Smith read the favorable comments from the Director of <br />the D.P,W., and asked for other comments or questions. There <br />being none, she declared the hearing closed. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to approve <br />the petition, plan and orders of the Boston Edison Company for a <br />grant of location for a pole top connection and a <br />three feet of conduit at Old Spring Street southwesterly at <br />P96/43. <br />PUBLIC HEARING EDISON & N.Ee TEL. , BEDFORD STREET <br />Mrs. Smith opened a public hearing on the petitions of the <br />New England Telephone Company and the Boston Edison Company for <br />permission to install anchor guys at two poles on Bedford Street. <br />Robert Boudreau, representing the Telephone Company, <br />explained the need for the work to support and straighten leaning <br />poles. There being no further comment, Mrs. Smith declared the <br />hearing closed. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to approve <br />the P etition, plan and orders of the Boston Edison Company for <br />permission to install anchor guys on the southerly side of <br />Bedford Street on existing poles #6 /82 and 6/96A. <br />
