7 <br />SELECTMEN'S MEETING <br />January 7, 1991 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on <br />Monday, January 7, 1991, in the Selectmen's Meeting Room, Town <br />Office Building, at 7:39 p.m. Chairman Smith, Mr. Eddison, Mr. <br />Dailey, Mr. McSweeney; Mr. White, Town Manager; Mr. Cohen, Town <br />Counsel; Ms. Radway, Asst. Town Manager; Mrs. Snow, Executive <br />Clerk, were present. <br />'111 ASTRE ISIbi <br />PUBLIC- HFARINGS INMENT 1Q.-- 1114116 2 <br />.• < . <br />Mrs. Smith opened a Puhlis Hearing an the intent of the <br />Selectmen as voted on Novefber 26', 1990, to layout f ive R : <br />subdivision streets. <br />Francis Fields, Town Engineer, reviewed the layouts of each <br />street, as follows. <br />Northgate Circle, North Street Development, 261'+ to the <br />end. <br />Farm Road, Busa Farms, 501' from Lillian Road to the end. <br />Carriage Road (extension), Carriage Drive, 423'+ from the <br />existing Town layout to the end. <br />John Benson Road, Carriage Drive, 853'+ from winter Street <br />to Carriage Drive <br />McKeever Drive, Carcia Woods, 341'+ from Grove Street to the <br />end. <br />Mr. Fields noted the recommendation of the Planning Board <br />that all streets listed be accepted as public ways at the 1991 <br />Annual Town Meeting. All surety held by the Town to ensure their <br />completion has been released. <br />No abuttors were present, <br />Mrs. Smith noted that the Selectmen will vote in their <br />intent to layout the streets at their January 23rd meeting. <br />There being no questions or comments from Board members or <br />the audience, the hearing was declared closed. <br />CLASS I LICENSE, N. E. TRANSIT SALES <br />The Board reviewed the application of George C. Logan, <br />President of New England Transit Sales, for Class I License to <br />operate a dealership for the sale of new and used school buses in <br />Lexington. Mrs. Smith noted the Special Permit on the proposal, <br />issued by the Board of Appeals on November 8, 1990, and the <br />condition added to the permit designating that the bus be parked <br />only on the commercial portion of the lot. <br />There were no questions or comments from Board members or <br />the audience and the applicant, Mr. Logan, was not present at the <br />meeting. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve <br />the application for Class I License of George C. Logan, New <br />England Transit, Inc., President, to allow the operation of a new <br />and used school bus dealership at 238 Bedford Street, Lexington. <br />Approval of the license is subject to the condition that the <br />display bus associated with the business must be parked only in <br />the CS zoned portion of the lot. <br />
