<br />Minutes <br />Town Celebrations Committee <br />October 14, 2009 <br />Room 111, Town Hall @ 7:15 pm <br /> <br />Members present <br />Suzie Barry, Sally Fisher, Jo-Anne Granger, Paul Jenkins, Julie Miller, Henry Murphy, Sandy <br />Podgorski, Jim Shaw and Bob Tracey <br />Not present <br />Mary Gillespie, Sondra Lucente, Bill Mix, Charlie Price, Jerry Michelson and John Rossi <br /> Business <br />? <br /> <br />Suzie Barry called the meeting to order at 7:18 pm. <br />? <br /> <br />A motion was made to (1) table the May 20, 2009 minutes (for further clarification) and <br />(2) accept the September 30, 2009 minutes. The motion was unanimously accepted. <br />? <br /> <br />Jo-Anne Granger will amend the October 7, 2009 minutes. <br />? <br /> <br />TCC can have its own space on the town website, which we are free to design. <br /> <br /> <br />Youth Sunrise Parade 2010 <br />The committee discussed pros and cons of the parade in its present format, including: <br /> <br />Should the parade format not be reorganized, ways to improve upon it were <br />o <br />presented. <br /> <br />If the parade format is redone, the committee talked about some of the options <br />o <br />that could be implemented. <br /> <br />Ways to engage more of the town’s youth in the parade and day’s events were <br />o <br />mentioned. One suggestion was made that the committee could contact the school <br />department to request that no events be scheduled that day. <br /> <br />A motion was made to keep the morning parade format the same as in the past for <br />o <br />April 2010 with plans to revisit the issue of reorganizing it in 2011. <br />It was unanimously accepted. <br /> <br /> <br />
