MINUTES <br />CONDOMINIUM CONVERSION BOARD MEETItvG <br />PURSUANT to ARTICLE XXXIV GENERAL B~'-LAWS <br />TOWN of LEXINGTON <br />20 January 1988 <br />The meeting was convened at 7m~5 p.m. in Room 2€~i, Town Office <br />Building, Lexington, Massachusetts. All members were present. <br />1. Marjorie Weems was selected as vice-chairperson of the Board <br />and Nathan Becker was selected as secretary. <br />~. The chairperson reviewed portions of the authorizing By-Law and <br />identified some questions of interpretation. Al cabin, the co-author <br />of the By-Law, joined the meeting and participated in the discussionz <br />of these questions, Following this discussion it was agreed that ~` <br />would be appropriate to interpret the word "sold," as it appears in <br />section 4, paragraph C of the By-Law, as meaning that a purchase and <br />sale agreement had been entered into with respect-to the unit. <br />3. Murray Shocket, Esq., addressed the Board regarding the present <br />circumstances and needs of 'nis clients, the owners of Emerson Gardens <br />Condominium. After discussion, it was suggested to Mr. Shocket than. <br />his clients file a blanket application for an eviction license <br />covering all tenants wha have claimed protected status under the By- <br />L.aw. The Board agreed that the application would be consideree3 to '~~e <br />coznplet~ if it contained the names and addresses and classification of <br />each such tenant and an aff~_davit as to compliance with applicable <br />state law as to notice. Zt was noted that application fees would ~,e <br />required at a subsequent time. <br />4.
