Kent moved that the report of the Town Manager on the <br /> (Cont.) status of open money articles be accepted and placed on file. <br /> 8:27 P.M. <br /> Town Manager Robert M. Hutchinson, Jr. was recognized and he gave a <br /> review of the estimated tax rate and listed the five budget goals. <br /> 8:34 P.M. <br /> Mr. Kent's motion that the Status Report of the Town Manager be <br /> accepted and placed on file was carried unanimously. 8:34 P.M. <br /> Article 3. Mary W. Miley moved that Article3 be postponed until after consideration <br /> of Article 49. <br /> Carried Unanimously. 8:35 P.M. <br /> (See Page 550) <br /> Article 4. Presented by Mary W. Miley. <br /> Motion: That the following amounts be appropriated for the ensuing <br /> fiscal year and be raised in the tax levy except where a transfer is <br /> indicated they shall be provided by such a transfer. <br /> (Richard M. Perry gave written notice that he would abstain from <br /> voting on line items pertaining to the Comptroller's Office if they <br /> are singled out or on the total of Articles 4 or 5. <br /> Mary R. McDonough gave verbal notice that she would abstain from <br /> voting on any line item pertaining to the office of the Town Clerk. <br /> Lincoln P. Friedman moved that the amount in line item 1090 <br /> he changed from $20,000 to $25,000. 8:37 P.M. <br /> Mary W. Miley felt that this should be postponed until after con- <br /> sideration of the zoning articles. 8.41 P.M. <br /> Upon a motion offered by Mrs. Miley, the Moderator stated that <br /> line item 1090 of Article 4 would be divided from Article 4. <br /> Mrs. Miley moved that line item 1090 be postponed until after con- <br /> sideration of Article 67.
