Kent. <br /> Garb Collection <br /> ##5800 Contract 7,200 <br /> Carried Unanimously. 10:05 P.M. <br /> The Moderator stated that the meeting was now open on Article 4, Line Item <br /> 5850. (See Page 527) <br /> Article 4. Presented by Robert B. Kent. <br /> Sanitary Land Fil <br /> #5850 Expenses 23,990 <br /> Carried Unanimously. 10:06 P.M. <br /> Article 28. Presented by Margery M. Battin. <br /> MOTION: That this article be indefinitely postponed. <br /> Carried Unanimously. 10:08 P.M. <br /> Article 29. Presented by Margery M. Battin. <br /> MOTION: That the Selectmen be and they hereby are authorized to <br /> contract with the Northeast Solid Waste Committee for the disposal <br /> of solid waste, such contract to be generally in the form described <br /> in this article and on file in the office of the Town Clerk, with <br /> such changes as may be approved by the Selectmen. <br /> 10:09 P.M. <br /> Mrs. Battin spoke on this article and asked that Robert Hauser, Jr. <br /> of the Solid Waste Committee be recognized. In response to a <br /> question by Richard A. Michelson, Mr. Hauser said that this system <br /> would generate power and would sell to New England Power Company. <br /> 10:17 P.M. <br /> Donald B. White said that the Appropriation Committee, at this time, <br /> is not in favor of this proposal and wonders what will happen if it <br /> fails. 10 :17 P.M. <br /> Jacqueline B. Davison served notice of reconsideration of Article 27. <br /> 10:18 P.M. <br /> Mary W. Miley served notice of reconsideration of Article 4, Line Items <br /> 4900, 5800 and 5850. 10:23 P.M. <br /> Article 29. George A. Burnell moved for indefinite postponement of Article 29 <br /> (Cont.) which was declared lost by voice vote. 10:32 P.M. <br />
