ARTICLE 22 ACCEPTANCE OF MGL, CHAPTER 40; §42J Adopted MOTION: That the Town accept Section 42J of Chapter 40 of the Massachusetts General Laws. 8:35 p.m. Presented by Selectman Busa who explained that this allows for deferral of water charges to an owner who is already receiving a deferral from property taxes on the same property, who is at least 65 years old, and whose income does not exceed $40,000. There is an 8% interest charged and a lien placed on the property. Following a voice vote at 8:37 p.m. , the Moderator declared unanimous adoption of the motion.
