<br /> <br /> Door Decorating (Sondra Lucente) <br />• The project is in good shape. <br />• Have contacted Jerry and Eric Michelson who will notify merchants through the <br />business associations about decorating storefronts in Lexington for the Patriots Day <br />celebration. <br />• Registration is all set, suggested themes are decided on: <br /> Honoring the 8 fallen (on the Green) <br /> Then and Now <br /> Hope for the Future <br /> Diversity <br />• Girl Scouts will be assigned to the committee that will be judging storefronts; will use <br />a distinct checklist the subcommittee develops. <br />• Bill Mix confirmed that “Hudson’s History of Lexington” states there was one black <br />male on the Lexington Green during the battle April 19, 1775. <br />• Geetha stated that a form has been developed for the basic information needed from <br />each entrant upon registration on-line. Entrants will take a picture and send it back to <br />confirm the decoration is ready. Then the committee of judges will travel to the door <br />and judge. Scoring criteria has been drafted and will be included on the judging <br />checklist. The on-line registration link is ready, registration starts March 15. <br />• Geetha will send the registration link to TCC members to try it out and provide any <br />feedback. <br />• Prize award process has not been developed yet. Several ideas were discussed, <br />including use of Zoom for an awards event. Sondra and the subcommittee will <br />determine the approach. <br /> Pancake Breakfast (Cerise Jalelian) <br />• Pancake breakfast will be conducted virtually. <br />• The event details will be published on the Scout Troop 160 website; then Cerise will <br />get the link/info to the TCC. <br />• A pancake breakfast basket will be sold for $35. <br />• April 17-18 will be pickup at St Brigid or drop off by Scouts directly to the house. <br /> Publicity (June Baer, Geetha) <br />• An older video (circa 2015) of Patriots Day activities will be used to publicize the <br />2021 Patriots Day program; also, still picture of historic homes; then each virtual <br />Patriots Day event / activity for 2021 will be described briefly. LexMedia will be <br />putting this promotional video together.
