Town of Lexington <br /> Sustainable Lexington Committee <br /> Minutes of Meeting of December 2, 2020 <br /> A meeting of the Sustainable Lexington Committee (SLC) was held by Zoom conference. <br /> A quorum of nine was present. <br /> Members Present: Cindy Arens, Celis Brisbin, Paul Chernick, Archana Dayalu, <br /> Marcia Gens, Rick Reibstein, Todd Rhodes (vice-chair), Dan <br /> Voss (chair), Charlie Wyman <br /> Members Absent: None <br /> Other Attendees: Joe Pato (Select Board), Mark Sandeen (Select Board), Mary <br /> Hutton (Mothers Out Front), Ricki Pappo (Lexington GWAC), <br /> Lin Jensen, Jeanne Krieger <br /> The meeting was called to order at 6:17 pm. Todd referenced the opening statement <br /> requested by the Town Clerk, and all members responded that they could hear. <br /> Review proposed article for the 2021 Annual Town Meeting for submission to the Select <br /> Board by December 4, 2020: Home Rule Legislation/Bylaw Amendment: Fossil Fuel <br /> Infrastructure <br /> • Todd walked the committee through the draft circulated earlier. Many edits were <br /> discussed and a number made. Cindy agreed to take the committee's direction and <br /> produce a final draft for submission to the Select Board. <br /> • Following discussion, it was voted to request the inclusion of the article in the 2021 <br /> Annual Town Meeting warrant, as discussed and amended. All present voted in favor <br /> (8-0), Marcia having had to leave a few minutes early. <br /> Other business: Celis noted concerns of others that the job qualifications for the recently <br /> posted position of town health director are insufficient. Rick expressed his concerns and <br /> encouraged others who may share his view to let the Select Board and Town Manager <br /> know. <br /> Next Meeting: The next regularly scheduled meeting of the committee will be on <br /> Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at 6 pm. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 7:36 pm. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Charlie Wyman <br />
