• Sandy suggested that next year we should include the TCC banner in the parade.
Patriots Day 2021
June asked the committee to start thinking about new ways to celebrate Patriots Day since
the usual activities will not be allowed due to the pandemic. She is looking for ways to
get the Lexington community to come together to celebrate.
Dance Around the World
• June noted that although funds were included in this year's TCC budget for Dance
Around the World, since it was not held, the same funds will be included in next year's
budget.
• A date in June 2021 is being considered.
• Geetha volunteered to gather information about the management and organization of past
years' DATW programs to help with next year's organization.
New Business:
• Wei Ding suggested that the TCC should do more to advertise the effort the committee
puts into the Town celebrations so residents know about and appreciate the hard work put
in by the committee.
• June agreed that the committee needs to reach out to the community to advertise the work
done by the committee, to encourage more participation by the community.
• Geetha noted that the committee has in the past made presentations to new residents
about the celebrations held by the Town, what they are, what is involved in producing
them, and how residents can help.
The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m. Next meeting: 1/13/21
Respectfully submitted,
Suzanne Caton, Secretary
