Ms. Battite added that this item can be mentioned at a Sports Advisory Council meeting to see if any of the sports organizations can contribute towards this effort. Regarding the locations, Mr Crogan stated that at Lincoln#1,the scoreboard would be installed in the corner closest to Temple Isaiah,the scoreboard at Lincoln#2 would be displayed in the corner closest to the parking lot and Little League Feld, and at Lincoln#3,the scoreboard would be in the left-front corner of the field by#3 and#1. Mr. Crogan added that LYL is open to modifying the placement of the scoreboards, if necessary. When asked when the installation will be taking place, Mr. Crogan informed the Committee that LYL would like to move forward with this project as soon as possible this fall. For the operation of the scoreboards,they are solar- powered and app-based, so organizations will be able to operate the scoreboards from a smartphone or tablet once the app is downloaded to the device. After the time of questions and answers and discussion, Rick DeAngelis, Chairman of the Recreation Committee,made the following motion: "The Recreation Committee moves to approve the installation of three (3)scoreboards with above-ground footings at Lincoln Park. The locations for the scoreboards will be determined in the field by the DPW Director and the Director of Recreation and Community Programs or their designee. Upon completion of the installation, Lexington Youth Lacrosse (LYL) will donate the scoreboards to the Town of Lexington." Lisah Rhodes seconded the motion. The Recreation Committee voted 5-0 to approve this motion. The next virtual meeting of the Recreation Committee,which will be a joint meeting with the Conservation Commission, is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 13th at 6:30pm through the Zoom platform.
