She will step down after this month. Peggy will <br /> take minutes for March, April, & May, and then another committee member will take a turn. <br /> • -Keith summarized the contents of a support letter to the Conservation Department regarding <br /> the proposed trail upgrades in Parker Meadow to universally accessible standards and rec- <br /> ommended committee members attend the February 24 Conservation Commission meeting <br /> at which final recommendations of the consultant's plans will be reviewed. <br /> eil <br /> ne)(4 11 and will have a 1--f--+ as well as new reu`es an4-u� <br /> tew r^' Ruth Rose is copy editing the brochure, working with Susan, Keith, Mike, and Ei- <br /> leen. The next version will be 17" x 22" and will have a larger font as well as new routes and <br /> updated info on the existing routes. Also, Route K has been officially approved and will go on <br /> the new map. GCC will coordinate with Recreation when marking the trail across the Suther- <br /> land Woods playground, which is being overhauled. Also need to coordinate with West Farm <br /> stewards. <br /> • Bike/Walk/Bus month is coming up in May. This year we will include the Walk ACROSS Lex- <br /> ington Challenge. <br /> • The Conservation Commission will walk the proposed Community Connector from Cotton <br /> Farm this spring - no date yet. <br /> • Susan reported on the recent meeting of the ACROSS Lexington Trust trustees, and noted <br /> that all proposed expenditures were approved. Discussion followed about where do funds <br /> put up by developers go, and could they go to the ACROSS fund. Also, could ACROSS <br /> funds be used for other trail projects. One potential use for funds would be the "You Are <br /> Here" signs for ACROSS trails. <br /> Current Business: <br /> • 1040/50 Waltham Street Development Discussion took place regarding the desirability of <br /> the town creating a general trails development fund to which developers of properties requir- <br /> ing zoning variances could be asked by the town to contribute funds.
