HISTORICAL COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br /> July 17th 2019 <br /> Call to Order: A public meeting of the Historical Commission was held in the Parker Room of <br /> Lexington Town Office Building located at 1625 Massachusetts Avenue. The meeting <br /> convened at 7:30PM. <br /> Historical Commission Members in Attendance: <br /> Marilyn Fenollosa Vice Chair, Samuel Doran, Diane Pursley <br /> AGENDA ITEM #1 (7:30 PM) <br /> Public hearing on the full building demolition at 76 Bertwell Road <br /> APPLICANT (S) PRESENT: <br /> Applicant: Kessa Glisic, Homeowner <br /> Philip Coleman, 29 Eliot Road(Homeowner's father) <br /> ABUTTER(S) PRESENT: <br /> None <br /> DOCUMENT(S): <br /> None <br /> SUMMARY: <br /> Ms. Glisic is the homeowner of 76 Bertwell Road. Ms. Glisic is requesting a full building <br /> demolition, the home is 70 years old and is not energy efficient. Her family is growing and she <br /> wants more space. She has met with contractors that said it would cost just as much to add an <br /> addition to the home as it would be to just build a new home. <br /> HC COMMENTS: <br /> Ms. Fenollosa asked Ms. Glisic if she had a Structural Engineer come to look at the house. Ms. <br /> Glisic said no. Ms. Fenollosa said this home is part of the Manor neighborhood which are Cape <br /> style homes. Mr. Doran went over the criteria for review of demolition and options. Mr. Doran <br /> also said many applicants are putting on additions that fit in with the style and architecture of the <br /> neighborhood. Ms. Fenollosa went over details regarding the Manor neighborhood. <br />
