vs MOR)VI <br />oQ�j(fiyP1PI�W�I';PGP <br />.Q � �NI� <br />owl, <br />�W PUBLIC MEETING MINUTES <br />APRIL 14tN <br />Conservation Commission Meeting broadcasted by LexMedia <br />LExZN 010 <br />AGENDA Tuesday, October 7th 2019, 6:30 p.m., Parker Room, Town Office Building, 1625 <br />Massachusetts Avenue 02421 <br />Commissioners Present: Phil Hamilton, David Langseth, Dick Wolk, Duke Bitsko, Alex <br />Dohan, Kevin Beuttell and Ruth Ladd <br />Staff Present: Karen Mullins, Conservation Director and Katie Luczai, Staff Assistant <br />6:30 pm <br />New Business/Pending Matters <br />Conservation Land Use Permit for Goat Grazing <br />Ms. Mullins, the Conservation Director, stated that the Conservation staff have created a formal <br />permitting process for residents who wish to graze goats on Lexington Conservation land. The <br />Conservation staff met with current goat grazers to collaborate on policies that should be <br />established. Goat grazing times were proposed to take place from 11:30am-2:30pm. Appropriate <br />signage is also proposed to be installed at all entrances. The goats will wear leashes and bells. <br />There is a possibility to spread the goat grazing activities to other conservation areas. The <br />permits will be annually issued. <br />The Commission may discuss their land use policies regarding dogs in the future. <br />On a motion by Ms. Ladd and seconded by Mr. Beuttell, the Commission voted 5-0 to issue the <br />goat grazing permit. <br />Plan Change Request: 99 East Street, additional tree removal and plantings <br />Ms. Dohan recused herself <br />Mr. Peter Daus-Haberle presented before the Commission. Mr. Daus-Haberle stated that they are <br />requesting to install additional plantings and remove several apple trees in the rear of the <br />dwelling. <br />On a motion by Mr. Wolk and seconded by Mr. Beuttell, the Commission voted 5-0 to approve <br />the insignificant plan change. <br />
