• Sandy is looking at the space at Keilty Hall to determine where would be the best <br /> location to put the TCC banner. <br /> • We will confirm with Geetha if IAL will be able to sponsor/help out with the coffee <br /> service at the breakfast. <br /> • Sandy will confirm that those responsible will be supplying plates, cups and cutlery. <br /> • Sue Stering updated the committee on the Veterans Day program. A meeting was held <br /> with Alethea Roy, head of the art department at Lexington High School. A flyer has gone <br /> out to students about submitting art about Veterans' Day to be displayed with the poster <br /> presentations. Alethea Roy will curate the art submitted and has fabric screens on <br /> pedestals to display the art work. If there is not enough space at Cary Hall, we will also <br /> be able to display the art work at the public library. <br /> • If a student wishes they may submit a video that is 5 minutes or less in length. If there is <br /> one outstanding video submitted, we will play it during our Veterans' Day program. <br /> • Participation is limited to Lexington High School students and home schoolers. We may <br /> expand the program to other students in the future. <br /> • There is limited display space this year at Cary Hall, as the Visitors Center is using part <br /> of the front area and the Ellen Stone room as a temporary location while the new center is <br /> being built. <br /> Patriots' Day <br /> • June Baer presented that the subcommittee has several meetings planned with <br /> stakeholders in the coming week. June and Lorain will be meeting with: <br /> o Ben Moroze on Thursday, September 26, 2019, Chair of the Executive <br /> Committee of the Town Meeting Members Association; <br /> o Justin Aramanti, High School Band Director on Tuesday, October l; <br /> o George Snell, Police Department on Thursday, October 3 and <br /> o Doug Lucente on Friday, October 4. We will be meeting with Doug Lucente on <br /> behalf the Lions' Club and seek his advice on how he sees the Youth Commission <br /> and Board of Selectmen responding. <br /> • We are tentatively scheduling a full stakeholders meeting for October 17, 10:00 a.m. <br /> • Lorain has received an email request from a NJ band of 85 students. They wish to <br /> participate in our parade.
