<br />MINUTES <br /> <br />FUND FOR LEXINGTON BOARD <br />December 12, 2017 <br />4:30 p.m., Dawe’s Room, Town Offices <br /> <br /> <br />Present: Norman Cohen, Alan Fields, Edmund Grant, Doug Lucente, Paul Shupe, Alan Wrigley <br />and Charlotte Rogers, Director of Human Services. <br /> <br />1. Money Available as of 11/30/17: Principal $ 309,435.32 <br /> Income $ 15,125.30 <br /> <br />2. Human Services: <br />a. Human Services Report: September 1, 2017 to November 30, 2017 <br /> <br />Charlotte Rodgers reviewed the activity for the period. A general discussion was held <br />regarding the different sources of funds used to help residents who are in need of <br />assistance. During the period, the Fund dispersed $2250 to purchase TJX gift cards <br />for families approved by the Human Services Holiday Program. $935.00 was <br />dispersed to aid a family experiencing a major heating problem. <br /> <br />b. Ratify Human Services Request for $2250 for TJX Holiday gift cards for families in <br />need. Approved 6-0. <br /> <br />c. Ratify Human Services Request - $935 for heating system repairs. Approved 6-0. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />3. Other Issues <br />The Fund’s annual letter requesting donations for the Fund was sent in November. As of <br />the date this meeting, $11,750 has been deposited with many other donations not yet <br />processed. <br /> <br />4. Next Meeting <br />The next meeting will be Monday, March 12, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. <br /> <br />5. Approval of September 19, 2017 Meeting Minutes. Approved 6-0. <br />
