Town Celebrations Committee <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> May 22, 2019 <br /> Lexington Community Center <br /> Members Present <br /> Lorain Marquis, Chair; Glen Bassett, Suzanne Caton, Kim Coburn, Linda Dixon, Karen Gaughan, <br /> Gresh Lattimore, Sondra Lucente, Julie Miller, Bill Mix, Geetha Padaki, Sandy Podgorski, Sue <br /> Stering, Bob Tracey, Wayne Miller <br /> Members Not Present <br /> June Baer, Wei Ding, Mary Hutton, Cerise Jalelian, Paul Jenkins, Rita Pandey, Dave Taylor, Sam Zales <br /> Guest <br /> Gina Rada <br /> Business: <br /> • The chair reported that a quorum was present and the meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm. <br /> • Minutes from the meeting of May 15, 2019 were approved as corrected. <br /> • Lorain asked the committee to submit any expense bills for payment before the end of the fiscal <br /> year. She also asked for suggestions for equipment that the committee needs. One suggestion <br /> received was to purchase walky-talkies for the committee to use for managing future Patriots' <br /> Day parades. Glen Bassett and Suzanne Caton will research walky-talkies. Another suggestion <br /> was to purchase an LCD projector for use at the Veterans' Breakfast and TCC meetings. Linda <br /> Dixon will research projectors. <br /> • Future meeting will be: 6/5/19. This date is subject to change. <br /> Memorial Day, May 27: <br /> • Lorain announced that there will be a walk-through of the Memorial Day parade on Saturday, <br /> May 25, when the committee members will check that all memorials for wreath laying are <br /> available.. <br /> • Linda Dixon reviewed the parade roster and sequence of events with the committee. It was <br /> determined that the parade will stop at the temporary Fire Department headquarters on Bedford <br /> St. <br /> • Linda will send the updated 2019 parade script to Kim Coburn and Bill Mix. <br /> • Sandy Podgorski will line up the Boy and Girl Scouts for wreath laying. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 8:20 pm. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Suzanne Caton, co-secretary <br />
