Town Celebrations Committee <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> March 27, 2019 <br /> Lexington Community Center <br /> Members Present <br /> Lorain Marquis, Chair; June Baer, Suzanne Caton, Kim Coburn, Wei Ding, Linda Dixon, Karen <br /> Gaughan, Cerise Jalelian, Sondra Lucente, Julie Miller, Wayne Miller, Bill Mix, Geetha Padaki, Sandy <br /> Podgorski, Sue Stering, Bob Tracey. <br /> Members Not Present <br /> Glen Bassett, Carol Flynn, Mary Hutton,Paul Jenkins, Gresh Lattimore, Rita Pandey, Dave Taylor, Sam <br /> Zales. <br /> Business: <br /> • The chair reported that a quorum was present and the meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm. <br /> • Minutes from the meeting of March 20, 2019 were approved. <br /> • Lorain announced that June Baer will start helping her with the committee chairman's <br /> responsibilities. <br /> • Linda Dixon noted that she and Lorain have been invited to speak at the meeting of the Rotary <br /> Clubs of Lexington and Concord after Patriots Day. Linda will put together a presentation for <br /> the meeting and asked committee members to contribute information for the presentation. <br /> • Lorain raised the issue of honoring Pat Flynn at the upcoming Memorial Day ceremonies or <br /> waiting until Veterans Day to do so. It was proposed that Edith Flynn be asked about her <br /> preference since she is to be the speaker about Pat's military career. <br /> • The next TCC meeting will be on April 3, 2019. <br /> Patriots' Day, April 15, 2019: <br /> • Lorain noted that Paul Jenkins has reported that he has arranged all the required cars for the <br /> Parade. <br /> • It was noted that Dave Taylor and his brother will be available to help set up the stakes with <br /> Wayne. Sondra volunteered to ask her son-in-law to help with the staking. <br /> • Suzanne volunteered to help Mary Hutton to direct people to the buses in the High School <br /> parking lot before the parade,then move to the intersection of Mass Ave and Worthen St. to <br /> help Cerise keep the parade units moving along Worthen at the end of the parade. <br /> • June Baer will help Karen Gaughan register the parade units before the parade. <br /> • Golf cart assignments were discussed. They are: <br /> o Bob Tracey and Wayne Miller <br /> o Julie Miller and Carol Flynn <br /> o Lorain Marquis and Cerise Jalelian <br /> o Linda Dixon and Sandy Podgorski <br /> o Dave Taylor and his brother <br /> o Kim Coburn and one other person TBD <br /> • Lorain discussed the possibility of the Old Guard performing at Tower Park on Saturday, 4/13, <br /> at 3 pm before the battle commences at 4 pm. The issue of where the Old Guard's vehicles <br /> would be able to park was discussed and the committee suggested that Lorain contact Seasons <br /> Four and the Masonic Museum to see if they would be willing to have those vehicles park in <br /> their lots. <br />
