• Cerise agreed to contact the Boy and Girl Scout troops about participation in the parade. It was
noted that the Girl Scouts will provide the carnations used in the ceremony at Munroe
Cemetery.
• Wayne Miller announced that he would put out the tripods for the wreaths before the parade
since the tripods are too heavy to be carried during the parade.
• The committee suggested that Lorain contact the Lexington Police to ensure that no parking
signs will be posted on Bedford St. by Buckman Tavern on the day of the parade.
• Gina announced that she will be putting out flags on veterans' graves at Westview Cemetery
next week. If any committee members want to assist her, they should contact her.
• Gina will read a proclamation from the Massachusetts Commonwealth at the ceremony on the
Green. She also agreed to read the poem "In Flanders Fields" at the Westview Cemetery.
• June Baer will arrange for the loudspeaker system for use during the parade.
• Lorain asked Bob Tracey and Wayne Miller to order one more wreath for the parade since the
Firefighters memorial will be re-located to the temporary Fire House on Bedford St.
The meeting adjourned at 7:55 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Suzanne Caton, co-secretary
