The group
brainstormed about the possibility of having a seminar for individuals involved in the design
and building process. The goal of the seminar would be to provide education around
accessibility concerns. The topic will be investigated further and a follow up discussion will be
held through email.
Discovery Day
• Victoria asked for volunteers to help staff the Commission's booth at discovery day. A
schedule will be determined.
Photovoice Grants
• Unfortunately, the grants that were submitted were denied due to the scale of the project.
Mass DOT Public Hearing- Mass Ave Reconstruction Project
• There is a possibility of having stop lights installed at the following three intersections: Marrett
Rd & Mass Ave, Maple St & Mass Ave, Pleasant St & Mass Ave.
• The Commission supports the need for safety, however worries about the increase of cut-
through traffic in the residential areas.
