362 <br /> SELECMN' S MEETING <br /> February 20, 1961 <br /> A regular meeting of the Board of Selectman was <br /> held in the Selectmen' s Room, Town Office Building, <br /> on Monday, February 20, 1961, at 5:30 P.M. Chairman <br /> Morey, Messrs . Adams and Cole were present. Mr. John <br /> Carroll, Superintendent of Public Works, and the Execu- <br /> tive Clerk were also present. <br /> Notice was received from the Metropolitan Planning <br /> Conference of legislation (S 285 and H 1082) submitted <br /> to the General Court on which hearings are to be held <br /> Hearing at the State House , 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, February <br /> 23, before the Metropolitan Affairs Committee . It was <br /> suggested that the notice be referred to Mr. Roland <br /> Greeley and it was taken by the Chairman. <br /> Copy of Mr. Stevens' reply to the House Ways and <br /> H-1230 Means Committee relative to House No. 1230 (sale of <br /> water to the Air Force) was received and placed on file . <br /> Letter was received from Representative Brox with <br /> IH-62 two copies of House Bill No. 62 pertaining to TB care <br /> and treatment. <br /> Letter was received from the Standing School Build- <br /> ing Committee advising that fill is being removed from <br /> the property adjacent to the access road of the Grove <br /> Street School. <br /> Removal of Mr. Irwin has contacted the owner of the land and <br /> fill he has ceased operations . If he applies to the Board of <br /> Appeals for permission to remove any more , the Standing <br /> School Building Committee will receive a notice . <br /> Report was received from Mr . Irwin advising that <br /> all corrections have been made at the Carriage House <br /> Carriage Restaurant with one exception, the enclosure of the <br /> House wooden stairway at the rear of the building. As soon <br /> as the weather permits, this portion of the work will <br /> be completed. <br /> Reference was made to the East Lexington Men' s <br /> Club dinner and meeting on Wednesday, March 1, at which <br /> Meeting time articles in the warrant will be considered. It <br /> was decided to hold this over until the next meeting <br /> to determine who will attend. <br /> 1 <br />
