331 <br /> aaa <br /> SELECTMEN' S MEETING <br /> March 26, 1962 <br /> A meeting of the Board of Selectman was held in <br /> the Selectmen ' s Room, Town Office Building, on Monday <br /> evening, March 26, 1962, at 7:00 P.M. , prior to the <br /> Adjourned Town Meeting. Chairman Adams , Messrs . .. <br /> Richards, Brown and Burnell were present . Mr . Stevens <br /> Town Counsel, Mr . Staples, Executive Assistant, Mr, John <br /> Carroll, Superintendent of Public forks, and the Actin` <br /> Clerk were also present . Yr . Cole arrived at the meet- <br /> ing at 7 :20 P.M. <br /> Members of the Standding, School Building Committee , <br /> School Committee , Recreation Committee and the Appropri - <br /> ation Committee , met with the Board. <br /> The Chairman explained that the purpose of this <br /> meeting was to discuss Articles 51 and 52 of the Warrant, <br /> which appropriate ;16, 000 for Stands and 42, 000 for <br /> developing the area of the Center Playground, respectively. <br /> Members of the varioq_s committees voiced their <br /> opinions and recommendations . After a general discussion <br /> relative- to State aid, the use of the fields for softball , <br /> Little League , etc . , which were felt to be badly needed, <br /> it was the consensus of opinion that the Articles be pre- <br /> sented to Town Meeting rather than be postponed until an <br /> October Meeting. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 7 :45 P.M. <br /> A true record, Attest: <br /> 7 <br /> ActingmClerk, Selectman <br />
