a <br /> SELET_ UN' S 1,EBETING <br /> March 19, 1962 <br /> A meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held in <br /> the Selectmen' s Room, Town Office Building, on Monday, <br /> March 19, 1962, at 7 :00 P.M. Chairman Adams, Messrs . <br /> Richards , Cole , Brown and Burnell were present. Mr . <br /> Staples, Executive Assistant, and Piss Murray, Execu- <br /> tive Clerk, were also present . <br /> The Chairman referred to the damage to the fire <br /> alarm system on March 4 and stated that the Commissioners <br /> reported the estimated damage to be $2500, but since <br /> that time , it appears that some of the cable has to be <br /> pulled. <br /> Mr . Staples explained that Chief Engineer Belcastro <br /> said the 42500 included the cable , plus ti 1,000 for <br /> drawing the cable through the conduits and 400 for the <br /> cuts . <br /> The Chairman stated that there w s some discussion <br /> relative to including this in the amount to be appropri- <br /> ated this evening but he felt that no action should be Fire alarm <br /> taken until a more definite figure is submitted and system <br /> when the time comes , a transfer could be requested from <br /> the Reserve Fund . <br /> It was -greed that whatever amount is required <br /> should be taken from tre Fire Department Expenses Ac- <br /> count and a transfer requested from the Reserve Fund <br /> at the end of the year, if necessary. <br /> Mr. Steens arrived at the meeting at 7 :20 P.M. <br /> and stated that he had another deed drawn pertaining <br /> the the transfers of land between the Town and the <br /> Josiah Willard Hayden Foundation. <br /> Upon motion duly made and secocded, it was voted <br /> to rescind the vote of June 28, 1961, signing an Hayden <br /> earlier deed. <br /> Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted <br /> to sign a new deed prepared and presented by Mr . <br /> Stevens . <br /> The deed from the Town to the Recreation Centre <br /> was recorded as instrument No. 198, and the deed from <br /> the Recreation Centre to the Town as instrument No. <br /> 199, and the plan referred to in both deeds was recorded <br /> as plan No. 312 of 1962 . <br /> Letter was received from Mr. Stevens with reference <br /> to the land of Raytheon Company off Shade Street that the <br />
