February 11, 1957 <br /> A meet inV' of the Distorie Districts Commission was held <br /> Monda evening at BtOQ P.1�0. February 11, 1957 at the home <br /> of Mr.0harles Davis . Present were Mrs.Me--°riams Messrs. <br /> Davie , Howard, Parsons , Smith and. Kettell. <br /> Due to a conflict in dates, Mr.Daviz sa `d. it would be <br /> necessary to change the date of the hearing on Mr,Walker's <br /> application from March 5th to March 6th. He is to get in <br /> touch with Mr. Taylor on this and Mre.'l'horas will tee that the <br /> notice gets to the Minute -Man. <br /> On the: Cary Memorial Library addition, it was the sense of <br /> the inkeeting that if the Entrance could be simplified, windows <br /> out clown se what, and the front hkaanged to stucco, more in <br /> keeping with this rent of the building, no other changes would <br /> be necessary. An opinion from Mr,Harold Stevens was obtained, <br /> to the effect that be felt the com ission ssould cask for <br /> these minor changes and then when assured they would be done , <br /> could grant ra certificate of appropriateness without another <br /> hearing. Mr. Davis and Mr. Kettell wi 1 contact Yr. 6elding,, <br /> Chairman of the Addition Commil tee. If this change and new <br /> plans or sketches are made, it was voted then to Issue a ' <br /> `-'ertificate of Appropriateness. <br /> There wns then a discus ion of the form; of the Certificate <br /> of Appropriateness and Mr.i�nith will. see about having these <br /> par•inted. <br /> It was decided that in sending cut notices for the hearing <br /> on Mr. walker's application, to also send, notices to the <br /> °am oreskis, Davis' , Quinlans and Cray Nuns on Eliot Rd. as we' l <br /> as those in the; Munroe District. <br /> Mr.Howerd then discussed the form to be sent to those people <br /> who have failed to make application for a Certificate of <br /> Appropriateness and this foray: was approved. This form will <br /> be sent, togther with a sheet of instructions for :Its use <br /> and ea copy of the Act to any one .Uh o s hou'S d hove it. The <br /> instruction sheet was discussed and some changes made. <br /> The Pbrm of Application of Certificate of appropriateness <br /> was also discussed and changes made here. It was decided <br /> to not have these forms printed but to have these, mimeographed <br /> ( or Fome similier form) .
