Welcome <br /> 2. Public Comments <br /> • Brent Maracle (LICA) referenced the report, Reclaiming Native Truth, sent to <br /> Human Right Committee members (see attached). He noted that the report <br /> included the conclusion, that Native Americans are historically romanticized and <br /> presently invisible. Mr. Maracle also noted that local surveys recently taken, left <br /> off the ethnicity category Native Americans. He also noted that no one <br /> mentioned discrimination again Native Americans at Temple Emunnah's service, <br /> • Valerie Overton (Lex Pride) asked for support for the YES on 3 ballot initiative to <br /> protect transgender individuals and noted that some recent polling showed that <br /> support for the measure was dropping by 20 points <br /> 1625 MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE•LEXINGTON,MASSACHUSETTS 02420 <br />
