It <br /> was therefore VOTED to approve the details to be set forth <br /> in the Certificate of Appropriateness to be issued. <br /> A hearing was held at 8:50 P.M. on the application of <br /> Joseph Trani, Inc. for a Certif icate of Appropriateness with <br /> respect to the construction of an addition to the building <br /> at 1775 Massachusetts Avenue. The applicant was represented <br /> by its President, Joseph A. Trani, Jr. and architect Charles <br /> A Cole~II who reviewed his plans with the Commission. The <br /> addition will extend the building to the rear and double <br /> its size. Wooden clapboards will be used throughout, replacing <br /> aluminum ones on part of the existing structure. The Commi- <br /> sion was favorably impressed by the plans and accordingly <br /> VOTED to approve the same. Further details will appear in <br /> the Certificate to be issued and in the plans themselved <br /> on file with the Commission. <br /> At 9s20 P. M. Nelson and Amy Gore discussed trim colors <br /> for their house at 822 Massachusetts Avei~~e. The Commission <br /> agreed with them in favoring Benjamin Moore's "Waterbury <br /> Cream" subject to an on-sight inspection of a sample, and a <br /> formal vote by the Commission at its next meeting (Mr. Morehouse <br /> having left before the hearing, thus leaving the Commission <br /> without a quorum). <br /> At gc40 P.M. the Commission voted to approve bills for <br /> publication and clerical expenses in the amount of $116 and the <br /> meeting was then Adjourned at 9=~5 P.M. <br /> n V I <br /> U v <br /> <br />
