• <br /> HISTORIC DISTRICTS C0h1MISSI0N <br /> April 7, 1976 <br /> A meeting of the Historic Districts Commission was held on Wednesday, <br /> April 7, 1976, at 8:00 P.M. in the Selectmen's Meeting Room. Present were <br /> Commissioners Wilbur M. Jaquith, Chairman; Georgia H. Williams, Secretary; <br /> Thomas J. Holzbog; S. Lawrence Whipple; aand Associate Commissioner Oliver <br /> F. Hooper who was appointed to fill the vacancy. <br /> A hearing was held at 8:20 P.M. on the application of Jerry Slack d/b/a <br /> The Cycle Lott for aCertificate with respect to the erection and display on <br /> the building at 1640 Massachusetts Avenue, which is within the Battle Green <br /> District. Robert Callahan and Frederick Pohl represented the applicant and <br /> submitted scale drawings of the proposed signs and photographs of the <br /> building. It is proposed to install a cut out cycle on the front and rear <br /> doors and one on the front of the building. Following discussion on style, <br /> size, and colors of the signs, the hearing was adjourned at 9:55 P. M. <br /> A hearing was held at 9:55 P.M. on the application of Carrigg and Erick- <br /> son for a Certificate with respect to the erection of a sign on the building <br /> at 1734 Massachusetts Avenue, which is within the Battle Green District. <br /> John Erickson presented drawings of the proposed sign. Following discussion, <br /> the hearing was adjourned at 10:50 P.M. <br /> Donald Wilson presented a proposal to replace the pink, blue, and gray <br /> shingles ont he roof of the bduilgin at 621 Massachusetts Avenue, which is <br /> <br /> within the East Village District, with a Bird slate blend. So VOTED. <br /> It was VOTED to approve payment of bill submitted by Barbara Gilson for <br /> $63.80 <br /> At 11:15 P.M. Walter Judge d/b/a Interior Unlimited appeared on behalf Ali <br /> <br /> of Interior s Unlimited to discuss his.. proposed sign for the building at <br /> 32 Waltham Street.
