President, and Charles Cole, Architect, represented the Society, Mr, Cole
stated that the basement work area beneath the proposed addition is to be
capped with precast concrete planks 3'4" wide and 8" thick and that these
planks would be covered with a waterproof felt membrane overlaid with a
granolithic compound, The foundation is to be constructed of concrete except
that the exposed part of the .foundation which is to support the Hancock-
Clarke House is to be of granite, The exposed part of the foundation for the
that slabs are poured at the site; thus the desire to have the word "slab"
changed to "plank", It was stated that a condition would be inserted in any
