HISTORIC DISTRICTS C01~9iISSION <br /> A meeting of the Historic Districts Commission xas old on Wednesday, <br /> May 1, 1974, at Be00 P.M. in the Selectman's Meeting Room, Town Offioe Build- <br /> ing, Lexington. Present were Commissioners Wilbur M. Jaquith, Chairman; <br /> Georgia H. Williams, Secretary; Thomas J. Holabog; Donald J. Shaw; and Asso- <br /> ciate Commissioner Amelia G. Samoylenko. Mrs. Samoylenko xas appointed to <br /> serve for Commissioner S. Lawrence Whipple xho xas unable to be present. <br /> Mr. Jaquith stated that an extension to June 24th had been received from <br /> the Planning Council for IIrban Affairs, Ina. <br /> An adjovrned hearing was held at 8:40 P.M. on the application of Norton, <br /> Kleoen and Co., Inc. Mr. Norton submitted three new seals draxings and three <br /> brochures of lighting fixtures. He said that flat blank paint would be used <br /> for "No. 3" on the white pan®1 above the doorway. The hearing xas olosad at <br /> 8x45 P.H. <br /> An ad~ovrned hearing was held at 8:50 P.M. on the application of The <br /> Seasons Four. Mr. Garulay submitted three copies oP a draxing and said that <br /> there would be removable panels at the bottom section of the sign for tine <br /> changes only. He stated that "Garden Center" would be the only legend used <br /> on the sign beloer the xorda "Seasons Fonr". Than followed a discussion on <br /> the removable time panels and on the electrical airing now attached to the <br /> sign. It xas asked if they could 3ust repaint the present sign adding the <br /> <br /> xords "Garden Center" and deleting the words "Leisure Living Center" and <br /> Mr. Garuley agreed that this could be done. He was asked about the box on <br /> the side of one of the posts and he said that it contains a time clock far <br /> the lights on the sign. The hearing was adjourned at 9s50 P.M. <br /> An informal meeting xas held with John Pearson of 16 Belfry Terrace <br /> regarding installation of a deck at the rear of the dxelling at that address. <br /> Mr. Jaquith submitted two bills as followsa Ingall's Stationers for <br /> $34.17 for supplies, typewriter repairs, arsd typewriter rental; and Barbara <br /> <br /> Gilson, Clerk, for April 19~+ for $88.20 ($4.20 for stamps and postage and <br /> $84.00 for cleMeal services). It wsa moved, seconded, and urntnimously <br /> VOTED to approve payment oP these bills. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 10:30 P.M. <br /> y . <br /> Georgia H.
