Present aas Commissioner Wilbur M. Jaquith, Chairman. <br /> A hearing tree held at,8;00 P.M. on the application of Laurence J. and <br /> Cecilia R. Kipp for a Certificate with respect to changes in the premises at <br /> 531 Massachusetts Avenue, which is within the East Village District. The <br /> chairman read the legal notice and stated that this had been published fol- <br /> lawing receipt of an application from Mr. Kipp, reading oY which aonld be <br /> deferred, The Chairman stated that due to a lack of a quorum the hearing is <br /> adjourned to 5;00 P. M. on Thursday, April 25, 197i?, <br /> C, Harry Erickson, architect for Norton, Rleven and Co., Inc. submitted. <br /> a scale drawing and photographs on behalf of his client for changes in the <br /> building at 3 Fletcher Avenue. Mr, Erickson stated that the applicant de- <br /> sired to replace the wood door and sidelights with an anodized bronze door <br /> and sidelights, to repaint the black railings, to install a lighting fixture <br /> on each side of the doorway entrance and submitted an illustration showing <br /> four styles of fixtures from xhieh the applicant would select one, and to <br /> put #3 Fletcher Avsmie aver the doorway entrance in plats of the existing <br /> legend. Mr. Erickson said that the metal letters would be 4" in height and <br /> would be painted black and, in so far as possible, they would nser~~.he leiSters <br /> already in that location. Mr, Erickson said that a directory sign approxi- <br /> mately 2'6" x i'9" would be installed on the building front to designate the <br /> name of the main occupant and the tenant in the basement, He said that this <br /> would be a wood or maaonite panel in a aood frame painted a bronze Dolor to <br /> match the door and that the backboard scold be painted white, Tha letters <br /> would be 2" capital letters .and 1 1/2" lower case letters. Mr, Erickson said <br /> that the trim of the building aovld be painted white. <br /> A hearing was held at 8:35 P. M. on the application of Norton, Kleven and <br /> Co., Inc. for a Certificate with respect to changes in the building and the <br /> erection and display of a directory sign on the building at 3 Fletcher Avenue, <br /> <br /> which is within the Battle Green District. Mr, Jaquith read the legal notice <br /> and stated that he would defer reading of the application.
