Mr. Jaquiah read. the legal notice and letter requesting the <br /> hearing. Roger D. Petrie, Trustee, presented three scale drawings of the <br /> front elevation of the dwelling with changes to be made aril also submitted a ' <br /> color sample of the green which he proposes to paint the house. Following - . <br /> discussion, the hearing was olosed at 8s03 P.M. <br /> Mr. Jaquith stated that applications would be received from Anthor~p's <br /> Restaurant with respect to their signs,.for a pool and fencing for property <br /> on the corner of Pelham Road, and changes in the door and windows of a dwell- <br /> ing on Wallis Court. An application has been received from Clip and Curl for <br /> their signs. George Matheson, owner of the .Manhattan Building, was asked <br /> what type of sign he preferred on that building and he stated that he~would <br /> like to have all signs similar to the ones erected on the building originally, <br /> i.e. stainless steel letters. <br /> A hearing was held at 8:28 P.M. on the application of The 01d Lexington <br /> Restaurant, Ino. Mr. Jaquith read the legal notice and letter requesting the <br /> hearing. Mr..Jaquith ad,jovrned the hearing at 830 P.M. due to the failure <br /> of the applicant to appear. <br /> Mr. Jaquith stated that the headquarters of 3herwin-~Filliams Co. felt <br /> the colors suggested by the Commission were not goad so .had submitted fire ad- <br /> ditional color chips.. Mr. Jaquith read the letter from David Lohr~ District <br /> Manager, regarding this and the fact that cove lighting for the front and <br /> rear signs was reeoannended by C. Harry Erickson, Architect. <br /> An informal meeting with George Matheson, Trustee of the Minute Man Park <br /> Realty Trust, was held at 8147 P.M. Also present were Robert Neiley, Architect <br /> of Bastille-Neiley Architects; Erik Lund, Member of the Planning Board.; Loonard <br /> Notkin and Royston Daley, Members of the Design Advisory Commission; and Robert. <br /> Cataldo, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen arrived at 9s20 P.M. Mr, Neiley <br /> submitted scale drawings of the building proposed for the property bounded by <br /> <br /> • Massachusetts Avenue, Meram Street, .Depot Square, and Depot Place. The base- <br /> ment is planned as a parking garage with spaces for 44 cars and a leading dock; <br /> the ground f]c~i.or is p7.anned for commercial use; and the second and third floors <br /> will have a totalof 42 efficiency and larger apartanents with an indoor court- <br /> yard for the secend and third floor tenants use, The building, 42' in height, <br /> is to be of red brick with a granite lintel between the apart~snt levels and <br /> white signboards are proposed Sor over the store fronts. The roof is to be a <br /> lead coated copper mansard roof with all vents, air conditioning units, etc:,.. <br /> hidden behind the roof. It is proposed to have white wood single pane case- <br /> ment windows. <br /> <br />
