Jaquith, Chairman; Philip B. <br /> Parsons, Secretary; George E. Graves; Max H. Straw; Georgia H. Williams; <br /> and Associate Commissioner Franklin C. Hudson. <br /> An adjourned hearing was held at 7155 P.M. or. the application of <br /> Gordon Optical Company for a Certificate of Appropriateness with respect <br /> to the erection and display of a sign on the front elevation of the store <br /> at 1844 Massachusetts Avenue, which is within the Battle Green District. <br /> Present for the applicant was Sherman P. Shriber, ~?anager. Three scale <br /> drawings of the proposed sign and photographs of the front of the building <br /> were submitted. Following discussion, Mr. Shriber withdrew at 8128 P.M. <br /> It was moved, seconded, and unanimously VOTED to issue a Certificate of <br /> Appropriateness to Gordon Optical Company for the erection and display of <br /> a sign for the store at 1844 ?•iassachusetts Avenue. Participating in this <br /> decision iaere Commissioners Wilbur i~S. Jaquith, Philip B. Parsons, George <br /> E. Graves, Max H. Straw, and Georgia H. Williams. <br /> An adjourned hearing was held at 8s50 P.M. on the application of <br /> <br /> Tr~Tholesale Electronic Supply for a Certificate of Appropriateness with re- <br /> spect to the erection and display of a sign on the front elevation of the <br /> store at 1711 Massachusetts Avenue, which is within the Battle Green Dis- <br /> trict. Present for the applicant was David T. rTullen, President. Three <br /> scale drawings of the proposed sign were submitted. Following discussion, <br /> Mr. Mullen withdrew at 10130 P.M. <br /> Mr. Jaquith submitted a bill for $40.69 far secretarial services and <br /> expenses from Barbara Gilson, Clerk. It was moved, seconded, and VOTED <br /> to approve payment of this bill. <br /> N's. Jaquith briefly discussed two applications for Certificates of <br /> Appropriateness for which hearings have been scheduled on May 6, 1970. <br /> It was moved, seconded, and unanimously VOTED to issue a Certificate <br /> of Appropriateness to Trdholesale Electronic Supply for the erection and <br /> display of a sign for the store at 1711 Massachuse~t±s Avenue. Participating <br /> in this decision were Commissioners Wilbur M. Jaquith, Philip B. Parsons, <br /> George E. Graves, Max Ii. Straw, and Georgia H.
