• <br /> MINUTES OF ADJOURNED MEETING HELD <br /> ON APRIL 10, 1968 <br /> The Lexington Historic Districts Commission held an adjourned <br /> meeting on V~ednesday~ April 10, 1968, in the Selectmen's Room, Town <br /> Office Building. Members present were Commissioners Talax H. Straw, <br /> elected upon motion dulq made and seconded and unanimously VOTED <br /> Chairman Pro Tempore, due to the absence of Chairman Wilbur M. Ja- <br /> quith, Philip B. Parsons, Secretary, Ruth G. Bevan. and George E. <br /> Graves and Associate Commissioner George 1N. Emerq. <br /> Adjourned hearing was held at 7:30 P.M. on the application of <br /> Village Artisans, Inc. for a Certificate of Appropriateness with <br /> respect to the erection and display of a sign for the building at <br /> 1632 Massachusetts Avenu®,, which is within the Battle Green Dis- <br /> trict. Mrs. Vivian Wolfe appeared and presented scale drawings of <br /> the proposed sign. After discussion and agreement on a modifica- <br /> tion in size of the sign, upon motion duly made and seconded, it <br /> was unanimously VOTED to issue a Certificate to the applicant. No <br /> other persons having appeared, the adjourned hearing was closed at <br /> 8:0o P.M. <br /> Adjourned hearing was held at 8:45 P.M. on the application of <br /> Lexington Sister City Couunittee for a Certificate of ,Appropriate- <br /> ness with respect to the erection and display of a sign at 13 Depot <br /> .Square, which is within the Battle Green District. No one appeared <br /> in behalf of the applicant, but the Chairman Pro Tempore read a <br /> letter from Mrs. Charles Crothers, a member of the Committee. Mrs. <br /> <br /> ,Crothers explained that the Building Inspector had approved of the <br /> use of an existing sign on the premises. Upon motion duly made and <br /> seconded, it was unanimously VOTED to issue a Certificate to the <br /> applicant. No other persons having app®ared, the adjourned hearing <br /> was closed at 8:54 P.M. <br /> The next meeting night is scheduled for Wednesdaq, April 24, <br /> 1968, in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 9:55 P=M. <br /> ..s <br /> Philip B.
