Members present were Cemmissieners Philip B. Parssns, Secretary, Ruth G. Govan and Mu H. ,Straw and Associate Cemmissieners George ~1. Emory and Ronald B. Whits. Chairman, 4Pilbux Jaquith was not Aresent and upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED that Commissioner, Max H. Straw serve as Chairman Pro Tempore for fibs Pot Shop and Lexington Trust Company hearings. The Chairman Pro Tempore read the letter ®f application and the notice oY bearing. Mr. LaRoche appeared in behalf of The Pot Shop. He did n©t have scale drawings of the signs mr photographs of their proposed 1®eatiens. He, also, stated that the materials and designs planned wsr® not acceptable to the Athens Realty Trust Company. Mr. Straw advised him to consult again with dir. Passsaisi oY.Athens Realty and to return to the Connnission's next meeting on January 2l~, 1968 with completed scale drawings. If this were not possible, due to the sixty day expiration period requirement, a written request for extension ®P time would b® necessary. Mr. LaR®che stated that he would return en January 2l~th. The hearing was adjourned at 8:00 F.M. Hearing was held at 8:05 P.M. on the application of Lexington Trust Company with respect to the erection and display oY a siggnn under the mar- quee of the Bedford Str®et elevation of the building at }!2 Bedford Street, which is within the Battle Green District. The letter of application and the notice oi' hearing was read. Mr. Raymond Scheublin, President of the Treat C~tpany, appeared and presented scale drawings of the proposed sign and a photograph oY its location. After disoussioa, upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED to issue a Certificate to the appli- cant. No other persons having appeared, the hearing eras el®sed at 8:15 P.~. Bearing was held at $:20 P.M. en the application of Geerga E. Rowe and Grace F.~Rowe with respect to changes in the existing building at 33 Bedford Street af:a an addition t4 said building, which is witk}in th® Battle (~reera District. Chairman Jaquith was present at this time and assumed Chairman- i ship of the meeting.. The letter of application and the notice of hearing was read. George E. Rowe, Sr. and George E. Reawe, Jr. appesrscL and pre-, s®nted detailed scale drawings of the proposed changes and the new addition. Tho ComYn~.ssion thoroughly studied the plans sad upon motion duly made end seconded, it was unanimously VOTED to issue a Certificate to the applicants. No other_persans having appeared, the hearing was closed at 9:10 P.M. Hearing was held at 9:15 P.M. es the application ®f Rowe Chsvrolot,, Inc. with respect to the erection sad display of two signs for the new attd altered building at 33 Bedford Strreet, which is within the Battle Gx°sexi I?is- triet. Tine Chairman read th® letter +sf application and the notice of tear- ing. The~Mssers. Rows were present. Th® Pirst sign was drawn. t@ stela, but the second was n©t. Completed scale drawinggs will be forwarded to the Chairmani Por presentation at the January 2$, 1968 meeting, at which time the Commission will act on both sign. The hearing was adjourned at 9:!}5 P.M. No other persons appeared.
