October 29, 1946 <br /> The Historic Matricts Commission met on Saturday, October 29, <br /> <br /> 1966, at the home of btrs. Bevan to disease further the application of <br /> <br /> Stop and Shop, Inc,y for a Pex~ait for Demolition of the buildings located <br /> at 30 Bedford Street, Le~.ngton, which is within the Battle Green District. <br /> The following members were present: Mr. B~ax H. Straw, Chairman <br /> Pro Tempore, Philip B. Paraons, Secretary, Ruth G. Bevan, George E, Graves, <br /> eFnd Associate Commissioner Carl E. Bryant. <br /> This meeting followed an informal meeting held in t he Town Gffice <br /> <br /> Building on October 26, 2966, at which time Bdr. Straw reviewed with the <br /> Commission caiditions surrounding the demolition, and all members had <br /> viewed the property in this regard. <br /> The Act was reviewed carefully to determine tYbs Commiasion~s <br /> pavers and Bar. Straw .noted that he had sought legal advise on this matter. <br /> There is no statute or law in the Town requiring an owner of property <br /> to maintain it. <br /> It waa unanimously VOTED to issue a Permit for Demoltion to <br /> S nd Inc with certain conditions osed under the ovi idna <br /> top a ShvP, ~P Pr` s <br /> of Section 9, Clause (a) (!t), paragra of~hapt _ <br /> Philip B, parsons <br /> Secretary <br /> <br />
