March lb, 19b6 <br /> The Historic Districts Commission met at 7:15 P,~~i, in the Seleetmen~s <br /> Roomy Town Office Huilding. Present were Donald R. Urant, Chairman Philip B, <br /> Parsons, Seeretary~ Ruth Bevan, George E. Graves and Associate Commissioner Max H. <br /> Straw. <br /> Present at the meeting were Mr. John Sarasin, General Manager of Henri <br /> Hairstylists, and Mr, Passinnissi of Stop & Shop Inc. Mr. Sarasin presented tho <br /> commission with three copies of the proposed sign to be erected on the premiss at <br /> 34 Bedford Street. Mr. Passinnissi stated that Stop & Shop Inc. had ~ proved the <br /> erection o_ the sign. Many questions were asked by the commission members. <br /> Upon motion duly made and seconded it was VOTED to issue a Certificate <br /> of Appropriateness to John P, Sarasin, General Managers and d~b~a Henri Hairstylists <br /> with respect to the erection and display of a nee sign on the premises at 3!~ Bedford <br /> Streets which is within the Battle Green District. <br /> Also present at the meeting was Mark Moore Jr, Mr. Moore stated that kie <br /> had been unable to attend the hearing on Maroh 9, and submitted to the commission a <br /> new set of scale drawings and photographs showing the porch on the dwelling on <br /> Lots B and 3A on Eliot Road. Many questions we~e asked Mr. Moore by the commission <br /> <br /> members. The chairman stated that this porch would be visible from a public street <br /> or way, tIe further stated that he had received a telephone call from an abuttor who <br /> objected to the porch but the abuttor declined to state his name. <br /> Upon motion duly made and seconded it was VOTED to issue a Certificate of <br /> Appropriateness to Moore Homes Inc. with respect to an amendment to Certificate <br /> No. 153 issued by the commission under date of January 6, 1966, with respect to the <br /> dwelling on Lots B and 3A on Eliot Roads which is within the Munroe Tavern District, <br /> The chairman stated that he had received a letter from Alan G. Adams, <br /> regarding his property on Meriam Street. It was agreed that Mr, Adams meet with <br /> the commission at 8115 Y.M. on April 6, 19bb. <br /> The chairman stated that he had received a letter from Herbert Bogen <br /> of the Design Advisory Committee for Lexington Centers and stated that this letter <br /> was to be published in the Lexington Minute Man. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 8:1~+~zE~/]~~ <br /> Phil~.p B.
