December 8, 1965 <br /> The Historic Districts Commission ast at the time and place specified in <br /> <br /> `ie public notice of the hearing on the application of the ~~Public Facilities and <br /> ormation Canter Committee" for a Certificate of Appropriateness for the erection <br /> and display of a sign on the Buckman Tavern Property and for additional lighting on <br /> the new Historical Information Building, which is within the Battle Green District.. <br /> Present wars Donald R. Grant, Chairman, Philip B. Parsons, Secretary, <br /> Wilbur Jaquith, George Graves, Ruth Bevan and Associate Commissioner Maa H. Straw. <br /> The chairman read the notice of hsarinF and the letter of application, <br /> Mr. Levi Burnell, a member of the Public Facilities and Information Center Committee <br /> and Mr. C. Harry ~rick~on, Architect, appeared in behalf of the application and <br /> presented to the c~unission scale drawings of the proposed signs to be used in connection <br /> with the building. Mr..~rickson had photographs shoring the signs now in the area, and <br /> these wars viewed by the commission members. Questions were also a~ksd. The hearing <br /> xas adjourned at 8a3C r.~. <br /> T.he commission had discussion with regard to the proposed sign and its <br /> location. It was agreed that the commission mast with the Selectmen at their next <br /> meeting sn Monday, December 13, 1965a and discuss the proposed sign as well as other <br /> signs on the Buckman Tavern property: It was further agreed that an adjourned meeting <br /> bs bald on this application after the meeting with the Selectmen on Monday, Decenbsr 13, <br /> 1965. <br /> Hearing was held at 8=30 P.M. on the application of B±yx°on Graffam, d/b/a <br /> Minute Man Stamps, for a asrtificats of appropriateness for the erection and display of <br /> signs on the building at 6 Muzzey Street, which is within the Battle ~'rsen District. <br /> The chairman read t}b notice of hearing ark. the letter of application and <br /> showed the commission members the scale drawings of the tro signs to be used and tkis <br /> photographs showing the placement of the signs. Mr. Graffam was present in his ore <br /> behalf and answered questions asked by the commission members. The hearing eras adjourned <br /> at a:t,.5 P.M. <br /> After discussion regarding the above application, it was agreed that tins <br /> matter would be further discussed at the next meeting of the commission on Monday, <br /> December 13.
