October 23, 1963 The Historic Districts Commission met at the time and place specified in the public notice of the hearing on the application of Clifford G, Hunt, ll.M.D. fora certificate oY appropriateness for changes in the exterior architectural features of the building at 14ifluzzey Street, which is within the B attle Green Listrict. Present were Donald R. Grant, Chairman, Philip Ya.rsoxis, Secretary, Ruth Bevan, George E. Graves, and Wilbur 1'i. Jaquith. the chairman gave a brief sutunary of the bacxgrc,und of the application, and read the letter of application. fir. ~iifford G. Hunt and Dr, Hobert 4+, l";rooke ;ere oresont in behalf of the application, and presented the corr,~~zission ti~-ith. four photographs showing the location of the_ air-conditioning units in question. V?ricus questions were asl~ed by the men:oers of tree commission. 'Yhe hearing was adjourned at g: 25 P. ~l. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED that the commission e.pprove the install~~tion of four air conditioners or! the walls of the first floor of the Hunt building on condition that new ev^rgreens b~ planted not later thanj'Iay 15, 196L~., in front of the three conditioners having a height of at least even with the top of etch air conditioner in front of which the shrub is insta7.led subject to public view froml~iuuzey itreet, said evergreen to have sufficient height within or3eyear from the date of planting to fully shield the units behind them fro!:1 public view from 'luzzey greet. the chairman stated that he had received a letter from the Appropri~~iuns Committee with regard to the Historic Districts Oommis sion expenditures for 1961x.
