Tune 18, 1963 <br /> The historic Districts Commission met at the time <br /> specified in the public notice of the hearing on the application <br /> of Paul 5tetsan for a certificate of <br /> appropriateness for <br /> proposed alterations in the exterior architectural features <br /> of the barn attached to the dwelling at 33 ~a,ncoc~ti ~ treet, <br /> which is within the Hancock-Clarke Uistriet. <br /> the notice of the hearin~ stated that the hearing would <br /> be held in the sown Accountant s Gffice at g;GO P. M. Mr. <br /> Grant appeared at 8:G0 P. M. and found no one ir_terested in <br /> the meeting of the Historic Districts commission and adjourned <br /> the meeting to the conference room of nary Hall. <br /> Present were llonald R. ~*rant, chairman Philip ~ . r ar sons, <br /> Secretary, Ruth Bevan, George Graves and ~ssociate <br /> Commissioners Carl E. Bryant and William B. Hoyt. <br /> The chairman read tl~ letter of application received <br /> from Mr. Stetson. Mr. ~'aul Stetson appeared in his own behalf <br /> in favor of the application, and presented the commission <br /> with scaled drati,-ings ~ the proposed changes and photgraphs <br /> of the dwelling as it now exists. questions were as=red by members <br /> o f the c omrais si on . <br /> On motion made and duly seconded, it was unanimously <br /> VOTED to grant to P4ul Stetson a certificate of appropri4. mess <br /> with respect to than ges in the exterior architectural features <br /> of the west elevation of the barn attached to the dweiiing at <br /> 33 Hancock Street,. which is ~rl.thin the '~ancock-Clarke li istrict. <br /> Mrs. Bevan stated that John B. j'~act~Jeil, Trustee of the <br /> Liberty Realty Trust, had mentioned to her that the Board of <br /> Appeals had requstred him to use Mutters on the second story <br /> of his bu.ilaing. It was decided that the chairman would look <br /> into this matter. <br /> The Question was raised regarding the non-conformance <br /> of Lexington Cleansers with the certificate of appropriateness <br /> issued by the commission on larch 27} 19b3. It was agreed that <br /> the chairman. would notify the Board of Selectmen. <br /> It was also indicated that llavid C .
