• August 14, 1961 <br />• <br />The Historic Districts Commission met at 8: 00 P. M. <br />on Monday, August 14, 1961, in the To Accountant's office, <br />Town Office Building, Lexington. <br />Present were Donald E. Legro, Chairman Pro Tempore, <br />Philip B. Parsons, Secretary, Cyrus wood, and Associate <br />Commissioners Charles H. Cole and Ralph A. Burnham. Donald R. <br />Grant was also present but did not participate in the discussion <br />or vote on the application of Felix Realty Trust. <br />The purpose of the meeting was the further discussion <br />on the application of Felix Realty Trust for a certificate of <br />appropriateness with respect to changes in the exterior <br />architectural features on the premises at 6 - 8 Muzzey Street, <br />which is within the Battle Green District. <br />The applicant was represented by John E. Burbidge, <br />Builder, who presented a new drawing of the proposed changes. <br />'questions were asked by various members of the commission. <br />On motion made and duly seconded, it was unanimously <br />VOTED to grant to Felix Realty Trust a certificate of <br />appropriateness with respect to changes in the exterior <br />architectural features on the premises at 6 - 8 Muzzey Street, <br />w hich is within the Battle Green District. <br />It was brought to the attention or the commission that <br />there was a sign on the building at 9 Muzzey Street, which had <br />not been approved by the commission. Mr. Grant agreed to contact <br />Dr. heuben regarding the sign. <br />Tlere was discussion as to the date of the next <br />hearing of four applications..
