• <br />• <br />December 7, 1960 <br />The Historic Districts Commission met at the time and <br />place specified in the public notice of the hearing on the application <br />of Felix Realty Trust for a certificate of appropriateness ror changes <br />in the exterior architectural features on the premises at 1792 - <br />1800 Massachusetts Avenue inclusive, which is within the Battle <br />Green District. <br />Present were Donald R. Grant, Chairman, Philip B. Parsons, <br />Secretary, Edwin B. Worthen, Jr., Donald E. Legro, and Associate <br />Member Arnold E. Howard. <br />The chairman read the letter of application received from <br />Felix R ealty Trust. Appearing in favor of the application were <br />Miss Agnes Viano, Miss Lillian V iano, and Mr. C. Harry Erickscin, <br />Architect. Questions were asked by various members of the commission <br />and the photographs of the present building and the plans showing <br />proposed changes were viewed. The hearing was adjourned at 8:30 P. M. <br />On motion made and duly seconded, it was unanimously VOTED <br />to grant to Felix Realty Tlrust, a certificate of appropriateness <br />with respect to changes in the exterior architectural features of <br />the building at 1792 - 1800 Massachusetts Avenue (inclusive). <br />The chairman read a letter received from the town with <br />regard to the annual budget. There was considerable discussion as <br />to the amount of money needed by the commission for the coding year, <br />1961. It was pointed out that there are still many sign applications <br />to be received before November 1961. On motion made and duly seconded, <br />it was unanimously VOTED that the commission request $700.00 for the <br />1961 budget. <br />On motion madd and duly seconded, it was unanimously VOTED <br />that Edwin B. Worthen, Jr., be designated to prepare the minutes <br />of the meeting held by the commission on Wednesday, November 16, 1960, <br />such action necessary in view of the absence of the secretary at <br />this meeting. <br />It was announced that the next meeting is scheduled for <br />Wednesday, December 28, 1960, with three applications: Lexington <br />Masonic Associates, The Church of Our Redeemer, and Mrs. John Whalen, <br />11 Harrington Hoad. <br />The meeting was adjourned at : 5 .
