The Historic Districts Commission met at the time and place <br />s pecified in the public notice of the hearing on the application of Horseshoe <br />urge Realty, Inc., to demolish the existing wooden building at the rear of <br />• the premises at 7 - 9 Muzzey !Street, and to add to the existing structure <br />at said location. ¥resent were Donald X. Grant, '' hairman, Philip E. Parsons, <br />Secretary, .6dxin h, Worthen, Jr., Donald E. Legro, and Cyrus wood. <br />the chairmen read the letter received from Arvin n, inaee president, <br />Horseshoe Forge Realty, Inc.. and the published notice. the applicants <br />presentation was made by Mr. Tito t%ascieri and Mr. Dean X. Nicholson, who <br />spoke in behalf of the application. Mr. 6 1earles h. tole spoke in favor <br />of the application, 'questions were asked by various members of the <br />commission, also by Mr. Frederick Johnson, Dr. ulifford b. Hunt, and Mr. <br />Tucker, who represented himself as a. prospective tenant of the premises. <br />On motion made and duly seconded, it was unanimously voted to grant <br />to Horseshoe Forge Realty, Inc., a permit to demolish the existing wooden <br />buildings at the rear of the premises at 7 - 9 Muzzey otre.-t, which is <br />within the Battle Green District. <br />On further motion made and duly' seconded, it was unanimously voted <br />to grant a certificate of appropriateness on the application of horseshoe <br />s'orge Realty, Inc., to add to the existing structure in accordance with <br />a preliminary study prepared by Tito Cascieri, revised as of April 30, <br />1960, and in accordance with a colored prospective presented by Mr. <br />Cascieri at the hearing, with the condition that the doors and window <br />sash, but not including the trim or casings, if used, be painted barn red <br />or such other color as the commission may approve, and the body of the <br />building including the cornice, motif and trim be fainted white or such <br />other color as the commission shall approve; except where white is esed, <br />all color samples shall be submitted and approved by Philip p arsons or <br />such other member of the commission as may be designated by the chairman <br />for the purpose. <br />Mr. Robert L. hlanchard appeared before the commission at 9100 P. M <br />apropos of the dwelling at 1310 Massachusetts Avenue. At this time Mr. <br />• <br />Arnold E. Howard at on the commission in place of Donald x. Grant. Blanchard to erect a building in accordance with plans submitt <br />to the commission on June 1, 1960, on condition that the window added in the <br />east elevation be eliminated.
