• • <br />December 1, 1959 <br />The Historic Districts Commission met at the time <br />and place specified in the public notice of the hearing on <br />the application of the Lexington Historical bociety,acting <br />through Mr. Edward S, Munro,for a certificate of appropriateness <br />for the erection of a tool shed on the premises of the Munroe <br />Tavern, Sitting on the Commission were Donald R. Grant, <br />Chairman, Donald E. Legro, Philip B. Parsons, Cyrus Wood, and <br />Edwin B. Worthen, Jr. <br />The chairman reported that earlier in the evening he <br />had had a telephone call from Mr. Munro in which the latter <br />stated that he wished to withdraw the application in question, <br />There being no one present at the meeting to speak either in <br />favor of or against the application, it was unanimously voted <br />to deny the application without prejudice to the filing of a <br />further application for the purpose in question by the <br />Lexington Historical Society. <br />Mr. Robert Kent, representing the First Parish Church, <br />( Unitarian) presented application for permission to change <br />the color from white to black of the door referred to in the <br />certificate of appropriateness previously granted. <br />MEETING: It was moved that subject to the receipt of a <br />written application therefor, the commission determine` that: <br />it would be appropriate to permit the First Parish Church <br />(Unitarian) to change to black the color of the door and door- <br />way referred to in the certificate of appropriateness <br />previously granted to the church under date of June 12, 1959. <br />The Commission VOTED to adopt the motion, Mr. Wood abstaining <br />from voting. <br />
