PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br />MEETING OF MARCH 30, 1988 <br />The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board, held in Room G-15, Town Office <br />Building, was called to order at 7:09 p.m. by the Vice Chairman, Mrs. Wood, <br />with members Klauminzer, Sorensen, Planning Director Bowyer and Secretary <br />Peters present. Mrs. Uhrig arrived during item 99. Mr. Williams was absent. <br />96. Review of <br />Minutes: The Board <br />meeting of March 14, 1988. On the <br />Klauminzer, it was voted 3-0-0 to <br />corrected. <br />reviewed and corrected the minutes for the <br />motion of Mr. Sorensen, seconded by Mrs. <br />approve the minutes for March 14, 1988, as <br />REPORTS ********************************** <br />97. Planning Director <br />a. Amendment to Article 41, Accessory Apartments: Mr. Bowyer reported <br />that Town Meeting Member Margaret Rawls had met with him to discuss two <br />proposed amendments to Article 41. One would strike out the second para- <br />graph under Part B which premits a dwelling in existence on January 1, <br />1983, containing less than 2,000 square feet, to be enlarged so that such <br />dwelling can qualify for an accessory apartment if it meets the applicable <br />conditions and requirements in section 5.2. Her second amendment would <br />' prevent the construction of a new dwelling containing an accessory <br />apartment. <br />****************** ADMINISTRATION OF LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS ********* <br />1 <br />SUBDIVISION OF LAND <br />98. Wood Street Development, Ruven Liebhaber, Preliminary Plan: The Board <br />reviewed a letter dated March 30, 1988 which notified the applicant that the <br />submission was incomplete. On the motion of Mr. Sorensen, seconded by Mrs. <br />Klauminzer, it was voted 3-0-0 to transmit the letter, as written. <br />APPLICATIONS TO THE BOARD OF APPEALS <br />99. Meeting of April 14, 1988: Mrs. Klauminzer gave an oral review of the <br />hearings scheduled for April 14, 1988. The Board agreed to make no comment on <br />the following applications to the Board of Appeals: <br />236 Lowell Street, Kheim Kwie & Jane Oei, SP, second story addition <br />245 East Street, James Kelly, Variance, front yard setback to add a foyer <br />1265 Massachusetts Avenue, Seasons Four, SP, to change daily hours. <br />83 Pleasant Street, Isaac & Lili Silvera, Var., rear yard setback, to <br />construct a garage. <br />The Board discussed the Lexington Montesorri School hearing, which was contin- <br />ued from March 17 to April 14, 1988. They agreed the Board should make a <br />recommendation on the application. Mr. Sorensen agreed to prepare a draft <br />dealing with the traffic section of the application, and Mrs. Wood agreed to <br />prepare a more general recommendation, reflecting her thoughts. <br />
