PLANNING BOARD MINUTES
MEETING OF FEBRUARY 11, 1988
The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board, held in Estabrook Hall, Cary
Memorial Hall, was called to order at 7:42 p.m. by the Chairman, Mrs. Uhrig, with
members, Klauminzer, Sorensen, Wood and Planning Director Bowyer present. Mr.
Williams was absent.
ADMINISTRATION OF LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS *********
SUBDIVISION OF LAND
56. Pine Meadows, Moore Homes, Inc., presentation of sketch plan: Frank Carney
and Architect William Hubner from Moore Homes, Inc., and Ron Wood and David Evans
from Guidelines, presented four sketch plans, representing four alternative
ways to develop the Pine Meadows golf course, both singly and in combination with
the Meagherville school site.
The first plan showed a conventional subdivision of 104 lots with no golf course,
located on the Pine Meadow site. The second plan (Scheme A) showed a cluster
subdivision plan on the Pine Meadow site in combination with a nine hole par 3
golf course. Schemes B and C showed cluster subdivisions plans combining the
Meagherville school site with the Pine Meadow site. Scheme B included a nine
hole par 3 golf course with the two parcels, and Scheme C included a nine hole
' conventional golf course with the two parcels. Schemes B and C cluster plans
included 148 market rate dwelling units and 72 affordable housing units.
There was extensive discussion of how affordable housing units could be built and
the roles that Moore Homes might take in that effort. While no vote was taken,
there appeared to be general preference for Scheme C by the Board.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:59 p.m. /
06
,,
Eleanor Klauminzer, Clerk
1
