PLANNING BOARD MINUTES
MEETING OF MARCH 27, 1985
The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board, held in Room G-15, Town
Offices, was called to order at 7:17 p.m. by the Chairman, Mrs. Smith, with
members Cripps, Flemings, Sorensen, Uhrig and Planning Director Bowyer
present.
ARTICLES FOR TOWN MEETING
94. FAR, CM, CH Districts: On the motion of Mr. Sorensen, seconded by Mrs.
Flemings, it was voted unanimously to recommend to the Town Meeting that the
amendment be approved, and to approve the report as written.
95. Article 15, Parking Space Elevations: Mr. Cripps and Mr. Bowyer
reported that there had been a meeting earlier in the day with members of
the Conservation Commission and the Town Counsel. It is proposed to change
the wording of the motion to refer to the FEMA "Flood Insurance Rate Map"
rather than the FEMA "Boundary Floodway Map" and to add language about a
survey and hydrologic calculations certified by a registered land surveyor
or a professional engineer. It was agreed to to so.
' 96. Article 45, Street Acceptance: It was agreed that if the course of
debate on the article justifies it, the Board may speak in support of the
Selectmen's use of criteria in determining priorities for the acceptance of
and construction of formerly unaccepted streets. The Board supports the
acceptance of Garfield and Emerald Streets and Phillip Road.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
Judith J. Uhrig, Clerk
1
