1 <br />l SII <br />473 <br />Minutes of Planning Board Meeting <br />February 8, 1982 <br />The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board, held in Room G-15, Town Offices, <br />Was called to order at 7:35 p.m. by the Chairman, Mr. Sandy, with members <br />::ichols, Smith, Sorensen, Wheaton and Planning Director Bowyer present. <br />19. Approval of Minutes <br />7n the motion of Mrs. Wheaton, seconded by Mrs. Nichols, the minutes of the <br />neeting of January 18, 1982,. were approved unanimously as written. <br />The meeting was recessed at 7:44 p.m. so that the Board could meet jointly with <br />the Board of Selectmen to discuss zoning policy relative to traffic improvements <br />in the Bedford Street/Hartwell Avenue area. The meeting was reconvened at <br />8:17 p.m. <br />20. APPLICATIONS TO BOARD OF APPEALS <br />The Board reviewed a staff analysis dated February 5. 1982 on cases to be heard <br />by the Board of Appeals on February 25, 1982. On the motion of Mrs. Smith, <br />seconded by Mrs. Wheaton, it was voted unanimously to, make no recommendation on <br />the following cases: <br />35 Hartwell Avenue, Atex, Inc.: SP, sign <br />10 Pleasant Street, Wilson Farm, Inc.: SP, roadside stand <br />The Board the discussed the case of 27-31 Waltham Street, Peking Gardens: <br />S_, --__- restrictions. On the motion of Mrs. Wheaton, <br />seconded by Firs. Nichols, it was voted unanimously to recommend that the <br />limitations in the present special permit not be removed until such time as <br />the Town can evaluate: 1) the effect of the new parking program on parking <br />in Lexington center, and 2) the effect of the new Cory's restaurant on <br />parking. It was agreed to include in the recommendation the data contained <br />in the staff analysis.' <br />SUBDIVISION OF LAND <br />21. Woodpark Estates: Request for Reduction of Surety: The Board reviewed a <br />memorandum from Michael Hanlon, Town Engineer, dated December 17, 1981, indi- <br />cating that all work has been completed, final as -built plans have been sub- <br />mitted and the only remaining item is to insure that trees planted in the fall <br />survive the winter. Mr. Bowyer noted that the amount of the surety could not be <br />reduced below $9,150 which is 15% of the original amount. On the motion of Mr. <br />Sorensen, seconded by Mrs. Wheaton, it was voted unanimously: <br />That, in response to the request of Andrew J. Laney dated January 6, 19821, <br />and after review of a memorandum from Michael J. Hanlon, Town Engineer, <br />dated 12/17/81, the amount of surety for the Woodpark Estates Subdivision <br />be reduced from $61,000 to $9,150. <br />
