479 <br />Minutes of Planning Board Meeting <br />January 18, 1982 <br />The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board, held in Room G-15, Town Offices, <br />was called to order at 7:35 p.m. by the Chairman, Mr. Sandy with members <br />Nichols, Sorensen, Wheaton and Planning Director Bowyer present. Mrs. Smith <br />was absent. Mrs. Wheaton was present for discussion of items 15 and lb and <br />left the meeting during discussion'of item 13 to attend a meeting of the Board _ <br />of Selectmen on North Lexington Traffic Improvements. She did not return <br />before the meeting was adjourned. <br />LO 12. Approval of Minutes <br />N On the motion of Mrs. Nichols, seconded by Mr. Sorensen, the minutes of the <br />® meeting of January 11 were approved unanimously as written. <br />Q <br />m SUBDIVISION OF LAND <br />Q 13. Bicentennial Farms: Request for Release of Surety <br />On the motion of Mr. Sorensen, seconded by Mrs. Nichols, it was voted 3-0 to <br />approve the request of Sydney S. Rosen, attorney for the Everett Cooperative <br />Bank, for the final release of surety ($40,000) being held on the Bicentennial <br />Farms Subdivision. <br />14. APPLICATIONS TO BOARD OF APPEALS <br />' The Board reviewed a staff analysis dated January 14, 1982. On the motion of <br />Mr. Sorensen, seconded by Mrs. Nichols, it was voted 3-0 to make no recommen- <br />dation on the following cases: <br />31 Taft Ave., Gary Swindon: SP, maintain dwelling <br />7A Meriam St., The Gift Cellar: SP, projecting sign <br />17 Cottage St., Robert Dorland: Variance, front/side yards <br />93 Hancock St., Lexington Gardens, Inc.: SP, operating days <br />Variance, sell firewood <br />It was agreed that Mrs. Nichols, who will be attending Board of Appeals hear- <br />ings in January, will indicate orally that the Board has no objection to fire- <br />wood being sold at Lexington Gardens but would prefer that the permission be <br />found within the meaning of a special permit for a nursery rather than by <br />granting a special permit. <br />POLICIES, COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING <br />15. North Lexington Traffic Improvements <br />Mrs. Wheaton, who serves on a special Ad Hoc advisory committee on the North <br />Lexington traffic improvements, reported that there had been two changes in <br />the plans: <br />- 1. Addition of a left turn storage lane in the median to permit turns <br />from Bedford Street eastbound into Eldred Street, and <br />
