1
MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING
June 3, 1981
The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board, held in Room G-15, Town Offices,
was called to order at 7:10 p.m. by the Chairman, Mrs. Wheaton, with members
Nichols, Sandy, Smith and Sorensen present.
117. ARTICLES FOR 1981 ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
Cosgrove Property, Wood Street and Hartwell Avenue: An informal
discussion was held on the two motions suggested for Article 29, the
Cosgrove re -zoning on Hartwell Avenue.
The first motion suggests that the 1981 Annual Town Meeting recommend
to the Board of Appeals that no SPS be granted until the Massachusetts
Legislature amends Proposition 2-1/2 to allow all increases in revenues
from new development be returned to the Town. Mrs. Smith commented
this might better come from the Board of Selectmen than the Planning Board.
The suggestion was made that the Chairman consider discussing this with
the Board of Selectmen.
The second motion, which suggested that the 1981 Annual Town Meeting
recommend to the Board of Appeals that no SPS be granted for the CD
District for buildings 2 or 3 until a contract has been awarded for
reconstruction of the Bedford Street/Hartwell Avenue, was taken under
advisement to be used as seen fit.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
,,,,G,., Vii'► c c, 5
Laura F.
